Summary
Warning : spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen time of year 2 , episode 21.Aoi Todohas long been considered one of the best character inJujutsu Kaisen , but only the anime gave him his proper sendoff at the end of his biggest fight . Not only was the claim that he could n’t habituate his cursed proficiency anymore not explained well in the manga , but Todo has n’t been so much as mention sincethe Shibuya Incident arc , all of which has been seen as wretched treatment for such a beloved character .
Todo ’s treatment has been a major point of criticism in the manga , but theJujutsu Kaisenanime has given him a much ripe sendoff . instalment # 21 of Season 2 , " transfiguration " , cover the end of the on-going competitiveness against Mahito , which is the last sentence Todo appeared or was mention , and the sequence of events is largely the same as they were in the manga .
However , Jujutsu Kaisen ’s Zanzibar copal adaptation expand on Todo ’s last momentsto not only be grown enough to justify this being his final appearance , but to better explain why Todo would n’t be able-bodied to struggle anymore , and overall , it makes for a much effective sendoff for Todo than how things played out in the manga .

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Anime Makes Todo’s Final Moments As Big As Possible
Created by MAPPA, and based on the manga by Gege Akutami
The big way theJujutsu Kaisenanime render Todo a better sendoff is by making his final move much big than it was in the manga . Just like in the manga , Todo ’s net move against Mahito was slapping Mahito ’s hand with his own to actuate Boogie Woogie , but theJujutsu Kaisenanime add onto that byhaving Todo imagine himself beating up Mahito alongside his graven image , Takada , with one of her song even playing in the background . It ’s an incredibly sappy scene that ’s also perfectly in character for Todo , and seeing it wager out with such great animation make it the thoroughgoing sendoff .
total to that was the apparatus for the sequence . Just like in the manga , Todo using Mahito to activate Boogie Woogie was precede by his locket fall to the soil and reveal a picture of Yuji next to a picture of Takada , mean that Todo loves Yuji as much as he love Takada , who ’s always been referred to as Todo ’s favorite person in the world , so Yuji can be determine as an equal motivator for Todo ’s imaginary beatdown of Mahito . That thought adds even more depth to such an incredible panorama , and it all come together to give Todo a much good sendoff than what the manga gave him .
Jujutsu Kaisen ’s Shibuya Incident recoil off with an anime original phony picture trailer that utterly encapsulates the manga ’s marque of sense of humour .

Jujutsu Kaisen’s Anime Gives A Better Explanation For Todo’s Absence
Another means that theJujutsu Kaisenanime improves on Todo ’s last moments is by better explain why he ca n’t fight anymore . In the manga , Todo ’s statement that he could n’t utilise Boogie Woogie anymore did n’t make much sense since he had previously shown he did n’t necessarily need two arms to activate it , buttheJujutsu Kaisenanime register Todo ’s script to be far more damaged and deface compared to the manga , so Todo ’s hand may be too wound to keep using Boogie Woogie . It ’s a much just justification than what is given in theJujutsu Kaisenmanga , and when combine with the scene that preceded it , it stimulate for an all - around better sendoff forTodo .
