Summary

Ritchson react to Finlay ’s homecoming in an interview withTVLine , admitting he " screamed " while read the script for theReacherseason 2 episode , which is written by Cait Duffy and directed by Omar Madha . He also talked about how the cameo harkened back to the show ’s introduction time of year . Check out his quotation below :
“ I screamed , too , when I saw his name in the script . I could n’t look to have him back . [ … ] It really felt special , [ give the ] different setting , dissimilar piazza , different character , and completely dissimilar circumstances . To have [ Malcolm ] back on set felt like magic . There was lightning in a bottle from Season 1 , for sure . ”
How Did Reacher Bring Back Finlay?
Finlay returns to help oneself Jack Reacher and his team with the time of year ’s on-going case . The episode command the supporter to get some assistance from a senator ’s adjutant . To get what they need , they ’ll have to put the aide in a compromising position . That ’s where Finlay ’s able to help , staging a whole scenario in which the auxiliary is overtake . He makes a show of arresting the aide and call for him to a fake interrogation elbow room , where he ’s interrogated by faux FBI factor — Reacher and David .
There ’s even a brief moment for the honest-to-god companion to catch up . It ’s revealed that Finlay ’s retreat fromseason 1 did n’t last long . The grapheme is already back to mould as a investigator , and he ’s still looking after the dog that he ’s named Jack . The cameo builds on Ritchson ’s comment aboutReacherbeing a connected earth , though an coming into court from Officer Roscoe Cocklin ( Willa Fitzgerald ) may be harder to pull off .
Reacher season 2 introduces a new love interest for Jack Reacher — Karla Dixon . Naturally , she ’s already being compared to Roscoe Conklin .
For the moment , Reacherseason 2 is focused on the active and intimate latent hostility with Karla Dixon . To do that , perhaps the action adaptation will have to downplay the bud family relationship with Roscoe . Or perhaps , as it goes along , the Prime Video strike will have a few more surprises up its sleeve .
