The Villain Onomatopoeia Has Finally Done What He Long Sought To Do: Kill Green Arrow.

Introduced in Kevin Smith ’s other 2000sGreen Arrowrun , Onomatopoeia is a nonparallel sea wolf who point non - powered vigilante . In the subsequent days , he has been one of Green Arrow ’s most serious baddie . When he first appear in Star City , he immediately went after Green Arrow , happen Connor first . Not jazz the deviation , Onomatopoeia nigh killed him , lead Oliver to seek reprisal against the villain . Now , decades later , Onomatopoeia has come through in killing Oliver , suggesting his upcoming conflict with Connor will be even more brutal .

Phil Hester , the artist for Kevin Smith ’s run , has returned for this storyline . The New Green Arrow Can Only Avenge His Fallen Father

While it seems improbable that Oliver Queen will detain stagnant , it ’ll still be an interesting chance to see exactly how Connor reacts in the same side his founder was in so many years ago . Connor and Oliver are two very different homo , and while Oliver savagely beat Onomatopoeia down and nearly killed him , it ’s unclear what path Connor will take in the same situation . No matter what the outcome , it ’s still absorbing to see DC return to one ofGreen Arrow’sclassic stories from so long ago with a fresh newfangled take .
